i appreciate your effort for writing such a nice column on Lt. Treveni Singh,,,I owe a lot of respect to Lt. Triveni Singh and always salutes his valour and self sacrifice,,,i have seen the army life so close as being a ward of army maj. i got my schooling in army school for 10 yrs,,,but i just wanna let you know that the highest gallantry award in Indian Army is Param Vir Chakara (PVC) and the 2nd highest award is Ashok Chakara,,,then Mahavir Chakara,,,then Kirti Chakara,,then Vir chakara,,,then Shaurya Chakara then Sena Medal and so on,,,so remember next time,,,wen u start writing u should have some responsibility for the information being spelled,,,,I must mention here that these martyrs are being paid only Rs 1500/month as compensation of their sacrificed lives,,,,,,SHAME on Indian Administration,,,,,,can anybody tell me what else these soldiers are getting for their selfless services,,,,just a cosmetic decroative PVC/MVC/AC,,,,is it enough to pay Rs. 100k + 1500/month extra for their family whom bread earner just died for this poor limped country where politicians are spending millions of Rs/month just for their salaries, meetings and travellings results in nothing just nothing,,,,, try to write, debate and discuss on these problems more and make aware the generation,,,make them aware of their rights,,,,
